As announced by Dr. Till at the Board Meeting simultaneously with issuance of the Governor's news release on the subject -- Ramblewood Elementary School is one of two organizations to receive the 2006 Governor's Sterling Award . 

The other honoree is the Miami-Dade County Health Department.  Ramblewood is the FIRST school in Broward County to receive the award.  The Governor's Sterling Award recognizes organizations and businesses in Florida that have successfully achieved performance superiority within their management and operations. 

Each winner has undergone an in-depth assessment that includes an on-site review of the organizations management structure and systems and organizational performance results. The award was established in Florida in 1992.
